Barack the Vote

What a day it has been in the DC area and in Northern Virginia...

Here's my polling place:

And here's what I saw tonight on U Street at 11th Street. Lots of people shouting, screaming, chanting "Yes We Can," and literally banging on pots and pans and jumping up and down. Strangers hugging, high-fiving, and lots of smiles all around.


It might be difficult to make out, but this is a picture of a large group of people carrying a huge flag and running down U Street.

And here's a guy who got on top of a car in the middle of the intersection and chanted "Yes We Can," with the rest of the crowd...
